Q. How did you hear of the Toronto Dingos?
A. I heard about the Dingos through two friends (Shaun McKay and Geoff Hansen). I went to the Grand Final Party this past year, thought the sport looked fun and decided I should try it out.
Q. What sport did you play prior to Aussie Rules?
A. To be completely honest, I've never played any sport before. I was up for a challenge when I first tried out.
Q. How do you find the cross over, what is difficult/easy?
A. Since I've never played a team sport before, a big challenge was adopting a competitive mentality. In terms of skills, I had a lot to work on from the beginning. Slowly over the preseason training I improved.
Q. What do you like best about the game?
A. I like that the game never really stops, the ball is constantly moving. The sport is very dynamic, which makes it a lot of fun to play and watch.
Q. You have played with the undefeated Div 2 team, how does that feel?
A. It feels awesome and very rewarding considering all the training we have put in. It is really paying off. We really do have a great team and I have high hopes for us!
Q. What are your favourite things about being a Dingo?
A. I'd have to say the camaraderie. Everyone is really supportive and always offering help. Personally, it has made my introduction into the sport smoother and I really appreciate it. Especially at DCC trainings, the support really motivated me to push myself further.
Q. What are your goals for the season?
A. I know I still have a lot to improve on, so definitely improving skills. I also can't wait to finally score my first goal.
Q. Who is your favourite Dingo and why?
A. As I already said, everyone on the team has been extremely supportive and helpful. But if I must choose, I'd say Robbo. He has been a great coach and has offered me a lot of constructive criticism and encouragement which helped me whenever I lacked confidence in my capability.
Q. Best moment with the club so far?
A. From what I remember of that evening...Rookie Night was awesome!
