Sunday MiniRoos Boys & Girls U8-U12
Pre-season training for Mini Roos has commenced.
Pre-season training is between 6.00 - 8.30 pm, further details on days/venues can be found here.
MiniRoos is the name for sub-junior football below 13 years. (Technically, Under 12's are now classed as juniors, however, they still play on a half sized pitch).
Leagues and Rules
MiniRoos teams play in fixtured leagues but with no match points and no league tables. (For introductory programs for younger children under 8 and below go HERE.)
Both girls and boys can play in the Boys leagues.
Teams play on smaller pitches with smaller goals, slightly modified rules and reduced player numbers - all conditions proven to be a more engaging and more effective form of the game for the development of younger players.
Under 8 and under 9 teams are 7 a side on the field with up to 3 players on the bench and rolling interchange. They play on a quarter pitch for 2 x 20 minute halves.
Under 10 and under 11 teams are 9 a side on the field with up to 4 players on the bench and rolling interchange. They play on a half pitch for 2 x 25 minute halves.
