SkillZ Girls Have Fun

The girls group at our Saturday Morning SkillZ program is having a great time under their two mentors, coaches Nadeen and Lydia.  Each week over a dozen girls are learning the skills of the beautiful game, running around and kicking the ball and starting on their journey of football discovery.

Parent Monika Lacey is wrapt at the way her daughter is enjoying herself each week – so much so that on her on initiative she has promoted the program at her daughter’s school, Northcote Primary using the club’s girls promotional postcard.

Saturday Morning SkillZ coordinator Kevin Thomas says that the girls group is going from strength to strength. “The girls are enjoying playing as a group and it’s great that we can give the girls young women as coaches who can be role models for beginner players,” Kevin said.

There is still plenty of opportunity for new girls to join in.  Interested families can sign up now even though it’s part way through the term.  Or they can come and try (for free) one Saturday before signing up for the Term 3 program which will start after the July school holidays.

More details about the program can be found HERE.
