Craig Stewart will captain the Toronto Dingos Football Club in 2012, as voted by the players and announced by coach Mick McFarlane this morning.
It'll be the eighth time "Stewy" has captained the club since he started back in the late 90s.
"Does it change the way I play? No. If I wasn't captain I'd still go out there and play the same footy," he said. "But, to me, yes, It is a great honour to be captain and I think we're in for a terrific season."
Dave Wells (Vice Captain) and assistant coach Justin Robertson (Deputy Vice Captain) were the remaining two nominated by the playing group as 2012 captains.
Coach Mick McFarlane said he's happy with the playing groups' decision.
"These three guys have shown what it takes to lead from the front and will hold the team in good stead for the season," he said. "I would like to congratulate all three of them and have the greatest confidence these guys will lead the team well."
