North Gambier Football and Netball Club (The Tigers) is steeped in tradition and its history dates back to 1926
We at the Club are proud of our heritage - where it has been and where it is going. We are passionate about our future and to this end there are many people working towards ensuring that this Club moves into the future with a clear direction and professional approach to planning.
Football and Netball are integral elements of the Australian culture and Mount Gambier and the surrounding areas are strong advocates for continuing that culture. These activities are played by a variety of people from all walks of life. At The Tigers we aim to ensure everyone who wants to play sport or help administer in any ways is given the opportunity and encouraged to be a part of our TEAM. Which now excitingly includes Women's Football.
Through strategic planning and foresight the future for The Tigers looks very encouraging. Our junior football and netball stocks are strong and the management and coaching of our future "champions" is extremely professional. We have a proud, passionate philosophy and foundation built around our junior teams.
No one can ever underestimate the value of having such a magnificent sporting arena to call home as Vansittart Park. This arena is the envy of sporting clubs from all over Australia and is acknowledged as the best football venue in the league. Vansittart Park has hosted many events outside of Football and the general public perceive it as an icon of the Limestone Coast. Plans are well under way to add more value to the venue by building a premier sports complex at the ground.
