GRAND FINAL DAY: What a fitting stage for Adam Dowie to coach his final game for our club. Over four years Adam has taken us to four consecutive grand finals with an opportunity to create club history and make it three premierships in a row. In 83 games in charge Adam has coached our club to 68 wins which is an amazing 81 per cent strike rate. We hope there is one more win for him this week and thank him for everything he has done in his time as coach. We have been more than fortunate to have you as coach.
This week we take on the Eagles who we beat once during the season however both of our losses to them have been by only 13 points on each occasion. Our boys have the best defence for points against in 2016 whilst the Eagles have the best attack with points for so it will be an intriguing contest. If experience counts for anything, as it does in big finals, we should go in with confidence knowing we have a group who play for the coach and each other and understand what it takes to win the last game of the season.
What a great achievement from our netball coaches and coordinators to have six teams make finals in 2016 and three make it through to the grand final. The future is bright with the U/13 girls taking on the Roosters today and we wish them well. The Division 3 side have an opportunity to take out the first grand final for this division while in Division 1 it should be a cracking game.
The opportunities before us today are a result of the hard work and quality people on and off the field who make KFNC the community club we are. Thank you to our sponsors and everyone who has supported our club in 2016.
