Sharks make key appointments

The East Fremantle Women’s Football Club has made two major appointments leading into the 2018 season; former Collingwood AFLW coach Nikki Harwood will be the Sharks’ Head Coach for the 2018 Season and previous Head Coach Steph Walding will be the Football Manager for the Club.

Eleven Sharks sited in the AFLW 2017

It has been massive week for Women’s AFL, with the first-ever national draft taking place on Wednesday for the 2017 season. Our Sharks were in the middle of the action and we could not be more proud of the 10 players and one coach who have been selected to join AFL clubs next year.

East Fremantle to host the WAWFL Grand Final

While the Sharks have now been knocked out of the finals, they do have plenty to do on Grand Final day as ATOM Stadium prepares to host the 2015 Women's Preliminary & Grand Final.
The race to the GF is a hot one in all 3 divisions, with Swan Districts straight through in League, Claremont in Reserves and Peel in Youth Girls. On Sunday 30th of August, ATOM Stadium will host the Preliminary Finals

Sharks Charging Towards Finals

East Fremantle Women’s Football Club are charging ahead towards the finals after 2 excellent wins on the weekend. While all 3 teams were a little short with numbers due to illness, injury, holidays and State 16s duties, with several players having to play in both divisions, it didn’t stop the run and stun displayed in across all divisions.

2 BIG wins this week see the League girls sitting equal 3rd on points on the ladder and the reserves girls keeping their finals hopes alive just 3 wins out of the 4. They will need to win the last 3 games in order to gain a finals berth.

Ups and Downs on a Wet and Windy Sunday

A terrible day weather-wise for football on Sunday at Steel Blue oval. Wet cold muddy windy... not ideal conditions at all. But that didn't stop our Reserves girls from causing one of the bigger upsets of the season. The Sharks took it to the reigning premiers Swan Districts and played a style of footy that other teams in the dry would be jealous of.
