It is with great sadness that beloved 1971 Premiership player Ron Bull has passed away after a long illness. Ron was not a tall man, but very big in stature. He could always be relied on to kick those much needed goals with his strong marks. Many opposition backmen knew they were in for a tough time when they lined up on Ron.
R.I.P. No 12.

Footy doesn’t start under the bright lights of Friday night footy, the Brownlow medal count or the last Saturday in September.
It doesn’t start on Draft Night, when fresh faces straight out of school realise their dream of making it to the big time.
It starts when you dust off the training gear and your muscles ache from pre-season after months on the bench.

The South Yarra FNC Masters are back to training tonight (Wednesday 3rd Feb) at Fritsch Holzer Reserve from 6pm and will continue to train every Wednesday thereafter. There will also be some weekend sessions which will be advised. We will endeavour to field both Over 35's and Over 50's.

Men's Football, Women's Football and Netball will all resumed pre-season training on the 28th of January and continues on Tuesday/Thursday for Men's Football and Monday/Thursday for Women's Football. Netballers are also at Fritsch Holzer until further notice (all 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start)

Christine comes to us with plenty of coaching knowledge and experience, and most recently ran the MLC Netball program. Christine was a gun netballer across Victoria and Queensland and we're stoked to have her on board!

After a fantastic pre-season program which saw new players coming in and integrated fitness sessions with the women's footballers and netball squad, we know Brenton will lead the club to great places in 2021.

Rounding out the coaching announcements, Blake Tolley aka Onions will again coach the women's football in 2020.
Onions' positive, lead-from-the-front coaching saw a team of majority first year players improve their skills, fitness and teamwork to become serious finals contenders.

The Yarras are proud to announce the appointment of Daisy Stegehuis (Senior Coach) and Patrick Tuck (Senior Assistant Coach) for Season 2018. Daisy will be coaching for his third consecutive season whilst Tucky moves from the Reserves coaching position which he held for the last two years.
