Football Operations Manager

The Football Operations Manager is responsible for the organisation, planning and delivery of all operational, administrative and logistical support within the Bankstown District Amateur Football Association (BDAFA) and ensuring the effective communication and work practices between the Association and the Clubs.

You will also be responsible for the co-ordination of coaches, support staff and the recruitment of such staff in the SAP and RYL representative levels.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A detail knowledge of the FFA curriculum
  • Exceptional admistrative and organisational skills
  • Solid facility/logistical/operational management experience in a football environment
  • Manage and maintain the BDAFA competition structures within SportingPulse
  • Advise Clubs in a timely manner of any changes to competition structure or games
  • Ability to work with senior management of FNSW, Board Members and Club representatives
  • Provide assistance and training to clubs in governance, including the development of strategic and business plans and policies and procedure manuals.
  • Assist in creating partnerships between clubs, local schools, community groups, volunteers and Council to encourage greater participation and volunteering in football related activities.
  • Assist clubs to identify sponsorship and corporate partnership opportunities and develop coordinated proposals on behalf of clubs.
  • Where and when required, support other staff members
  • Ensure that BDAFA support staff are updating and maintaining the Association website the social media account in a timely manner
  • In co-operation with the General Manager, formulate and implement organisational policies and procedures and monitor adherence by the Clubs to the rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Knowledge of FFA registration procedure (My Football Club and Sporting Pulse) would be an advantage

Hours of Operation

You will be expected to work flexible hours of 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday-Friday as well as some weekend work and after hours as required to make up 38 hours per week.
