Various resources are available to assist with umpire development. Mid West runs an annual basic level umpires information session, aimed at getting panel umpires and club umpires together to go over rule changes and general issues at hand.
Accreditation level training is also available, level one to level three. As a minimum all panel umpires are sought to be accredited to level one.
