The annual Steel City Challenge is a grudge match between the Men's Representative sides from Hunter Christian Churches Football and Illawarra Churches Soccer Association.

It is traditionally played on the last Saturday of May each year.

2016 marked the 25th Anniversary of the Challenge and it was hosted by Illawarra.
