This years swimming carnival was the most hotly contested ever seen. 
We frequently needed to review our iPad recordings of the finish.
The technology enabled us to make sure we got each decision correct.
Well done & congratulations to all swimmers involved.
Huge thank you to the staff who selected & trained their teams or assisted on the day.
Thanks also to the spectators - we really appreciate your positive support.

Melbourne turned-on unprecedented patch of warm weather BUT it cracked and rained on our parade, or should I say the 12/13yo girls.  We were very lucky to have had good weather most of the day but a huge dump of rain at the end spoilt the 12/13yo girls race, sent school groups scurrying to their buses and made packing up challenging. Once again we tweaked our finish line set up and improved viewing area for spectators resulting in improved communication because the PA was closer (louder) to the school groups.  Well done to all participants, clearly the Bentleigh District schools had been doing lots of training.  It was good to see the students finish their races comfortably. 
Students who placed 1st - 8th will progress to the Beachside Cross-Country.

Amazing & best ever weather !!
It was a busy start, the field events & 1500m provided good viewing.
The atmosphere was building and peaked during the Golden Baton event !
