• U18 vs U16A & B
In 2017 we opened team entries for an U18 Saturday competition with a view to providing students entering the important Year 11 & 12 period of high-school an opportunity to play (for fun) on a Saturday without the pressure of training twice a week. We got one team entry for U18. To enable them to play, but also to signal very clearly to all of the U16’s who might be thinking there is no option other than the highly competitive Youth Competition next year, we have renamed the U16A competition U18’s and renamed the U16B competition U16 for 2017. The league will monitor the performances through grading to ensure this remains a safe option for all players. We are confident this initiative will greatly expand opportunity for players to extend their participation in soccer through the important years of year 11 & 12 with a combination of study, jobs and having fun.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
