BASL Girls Only summer comp and other opportunities
We fully support our members in playing any form of soccer over summer if possible. At least three different options are available:
Girls Only Comp (organised by BASL)
BASL is introducing a new Girls soccer competition over summer. We are coordinating Epsom FC teams for our members.
The competition will feature teams from U6 to U16 and will run from 22 October to 26 November - six weeks in total. Games will be played at Spring Gully from 9am to 12pm on Saturday mornings, and will be 5-a-side on a smaller pitch.
Epsom FC is seeking expressions of interest across all these age groups to join an Epsom FC team. There is no requirement for girls to have previously played with Epsom, or indeed any other club, so get your girls to ask their friends! After we have coordinated teams, we will pass your details to team coaches/managers.
The cost will be $25 per player and covers the cost of grounds and equipment, and will be payable directly to BASL prior to the start of the competition.
We don't think teams will be looking to have "training", but we will work with teams to provide facilities if required.

Futsal (endorsed by BASL)
Bendigo is home to a thriving BASL "Futsal" competition. Epsom player Lewis Dunne was even chosen to play in the Australian representative squad on an international tour this year.
We are not coordinating or arranging teams for Futsal, but feel free to arrange and enter your own teams.

Summer 6's
Another option open for playing in summer is "Super 6's" - weekly games played on smaller pitches for all ages from U6 through seniors.
