FINALLY OUT - As of today, May 29th , The Mitcham Sporting Club Pavilion has been officially handed over to the builder with additional temporary fencing now in place. The Club will be housed in the nearby portables alongside the Club erected marquee.
This project was expected to be completed in December 2019; however given the delays, this is likely to be push back into early 2020.
The historic 62-year-old Pavilion will remain with a total renovation internally, a new indoor viewing room and deck adjoining the pavilion, plus new change room and gym facilities.
PLEASE understand that ALL players and supporters, both Senior and Junior, may be slightly inconvenienced before we move back in into a greatly enhanced facility for all, which will be one of the best in the Eastern Suburbs. As is the Mitcham Spirit we are sure that our members will rally behind the club as we work our way through this short-term pain for long-term gain.
WE WISH to acknowledge the Whitehorse City Council for working so closely with us every step of the way to produce the best facilities possible.
MARQUEE - A large heated marquee is all decked out and ready to provide social facilities and protection from the weather.
PARKING - No parking is allowed past the Nunawading Gym. Beyond this point is the work site area and clearways.
There may be works happening on weekends so we must work in with Builders.
PLEASE PARK in the marked parking bays at the Whitehorse road end of the ground, or use the council parking behind the Pavilion.
PUBLIC TOILETS - Open for Saturday`s & Sunday`s only, follow temp fence line to the public toilets at the rear of the Pavilion.
SCOREBOARD - Will operate as usual via the Timekeepers box.
Very exciting times ahead for the Mitcham Football Club and its future!
