ROUND 14 REVIEW | 17 and Under Netball

The 17s girls completed the season with a massive 74-6 win against the Sunbury Lions to finish undefeated and minor premiers of the RDFNL Division 1 2019 season.

The aim of the game was to maintain concentration, discipline and structure for the entire four quarters as they look towards finals starting this week.

The girls led from start to finish, with internal targets set to ensure the team maintained their intensity and overall performance. To the girls credit, the targets were achieved and exceeded.

The entire team performed well but the girls were reminded that we are not done, we need to train hard and maintain our focus as we know that game intensity is heightened in finals.

The girls look forward to taking on the Gisborne Rookies this week as the first of their finals clashes. They will be tough and the girls will need to be on their toes.  Go Hawks!

Woodend (74) defeated Sunbury Lions (6)

Goals: Gemma Baird 54, Sarah Duff 16, Emma Cogger 4.

Best: Sarah Duff, Gemma Baird, Alice MacDonald-Myers.
