2020 AUSKICK UPDATE
As some of you know we will be starting Junior and Youth Football Training this coming Thursday with strict rules and conditions that we all have to adhere to.
We have been notified by the WAFC that Auskick unfortunately will not be resuming until we are at least in the Stage 3 of the government’s response to the Covid-19.
Their reasonings are:
•The large amount of parent involvement in-situ required at NAB AFL Auskick is not feasible under the current Return to Training protocol.
•The amount of shared equipment involved in NAB AFL Auskick sessions is not permitted under the Return to Training protocol.
•The ability to provide adequate child safety measures will prove incredibly difficult, as social gathering restrictions do not permit the large crowds that parent spectatorship/supervision would incur.
•Spatial distancing and the avoidance of incidental contact may be difficult to guarantee with the game-like philosophy and move away of line-type drills in the NAB AFL Auskick program.
In the meantime please check out these videos for some training to do at home - https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLooa6vr39nRnwKH8eFpxP-KwRi92r7as7
Our Auskick Coordinator Mark will be sending out emails to all registered Auskickers within the next week with more information.
