Hello Stingers Members and Family,

If you were unable to attend our Open Day on Sunday please see the following information for this seasons update.

Training for the 2018 Season will commence this Thursday 12th of April for Auskick and Juniors 4:30 – 5:30 unless you have been told by your coach differently.

The club has made the decision to change training from Wednesday’s to Thursday’s for our Auskick and Junior Teams.

This change has happened so we can bring the club together as a whole. Rather than separating our Auskick/Juniors and our Youth/Senior Teams. It will be beneficial for our whole club and our Auskick and Junior members will get to meet and see our older members. They will also see there is progression after 6 years in our Football Club.

For our Auskick members, the program has now changed nationally this year. Thursday and Saturday will now consist of Drills, Skills and Game time. This also allows our Auskick kids to participate on either Thursday or Saturdays or if they wish to both days.

Feedback from the parents in the younger teams of Auskick has found their little ones are tired after Pre-Primary etc. during the week and miss out on learning skills if they miss the week day training because they only play a game on Saturday with no drills. This is a link to the Auskick site which may better your understanding of the new Auskick program and Drills and Skills which you may also be able to use at home with your children.

Youth Boys, are training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5 – 6:30.

We would also like to let everyone know the reason we are starting a little later this year than other clubs is because we share our club rooms with the Shoalwater Cricket Club and we only have a small window of opportunity from their finishing date to our starting date. It also effects by the cricket club playing in the finals and vice versa at the end of the season our Footy Club playing in the finals.

NOTE: This year we have also been faced with, at extremely short notice our club rooms being refurbished. Time allocated for this renovation had to happen between the Cricket Club season ending and our Football Club season starting.

We continue to strive to be the best we can be and we trust this information will answer more of your questions. We are all volunteers working together to make decisions and do what we feel will better the club as a whole. If you have any input, suggestions or ideas to help us please come along to our AGM meetings or Email us at . Meetings will be announced via our Website, Team App, Facebook Page and Instagram.

Please download the ‘Team App’ and ‘Game Day App’ on your devices. Request to be added to your relevant team and then the official will accept your request on the Team App. This is a communication tool between your Coach, Team Manager and Team.

“Game Day App” will also give you your team’s fixtures for the season when they have been finalised by Peel in the close future.
