New Reserve Grade Coach: Areti Theodorou (Pictured in Red)

Credentials summary: 

Areti joins the Rams as an experienced player and coach, and together with new Under 13s Coach Linda Khamis, will increase the ratio of Women coaches to 2 from the 5 available positions. Premiership winning coach Leah Blayney was the only Female coach last year and the Rams are excited at the continuation of successful Women coaches at the club.

Areti played for UNSW FC in the Women's National Premier League competition from 2011-13, qualifying for the Grand Final in two of those years. Her coaching career began much earlier though in 2008 at Football United where she was an assistant coach charged with planning, and conducting training sessions.  In 2010 she took on the Head Coach position at Football United and for four years presided over several grades and their respective coaches.

2013 saw Areti earn representational experience by coaching the Under 12s Metro South squad at the NSW State Titles.

Moving into her role at Rams, Areti became head coach of the Under 13s (2014) and Under 17s (2015) for Bankstown City Lions in the NSW State League, earning Grand Final qualification both years and in 2015 guided the club to the Minor Premiership and Club Championship status.

The Rams also welcome back new Coaching signing Linda Khamis for the 2016 campaign.

Like sister Leena, Linda Khamis also played for the Rams Senior squad back in 2007 and has since held several coaching positions including representative duties in 2009 as Head Coach of the u16 Metro South squad. She also holds a degree in Sport and Exercise Science and is an accredited Exercise Physiologist.

Khamis was also involved at Football NSW for a decade ('04-14) in roles that included the Head Coach mantle in the Institute Program as well as state sides, and stints as Manager, Trainer and Assistant Coach.

Linda is no stranger to Coaching at Rams having held assistant or Head coach positions in the previous competitions u14 and u12 grades from 2006-09. From there she then went on to u14 and u16 Head Coach roles at the Sutherland Sharks in 2010-11.

With nothing but success on the mind of the Macarthur Rams for the coming 2016 season, the Club is very proud to announce Areti Theodorou as the Coach of the Senior Reserve grade Squad, and Linda Khamis as Coach of the Under 13s Squad.
