Week 2 - Grand Final and Preliminary Week
U10AR Hoppers Tigers unfortunately went down to Heathdale Hornets Blue 23-24. It appeared that our boys were feeling the nerves and let the opposition control the game. Good effort making the Grand Final for AR better luck next season.
U14AR Hoppers Tigers boys defeated St Andrews Jets 30-19. Congratulations Barry and the boys on their Premiership
U16B2 Hoppers Wildcats girls defeated Iramoo Dream 40-19. Congratulations Mario (caretaker coach) and the girls on your Grand Final efforts you played extremely well all day and deserved your Premiership
U12B Hoppers Tigers girls defeated St Andrews Diamonds in a nail biter 17-16. Congratulations Mario and the girls on your Premiership a slow start but came from behind to clinch the win
U16B Hoppers Tigers boys were defeated by Iramoo Spiders 21-23. Jay and the boys were unlucky to lose and played extremely well in both games today. Congratulations on your Runners-up, it's still a winning result.
U18/20C1 Hoppers Wildcats didn't get the win tonight but were gallant in their defeat going down by 1pt on the buzzer after trialling by 13pts early in the first half. Congratulations to a group of 16yos who took on the older Corpus Christi team, but were unlucky not to win going down 38 - 39. Enjoy the rest and come back more determine to go one better next season. Great effort guys
Week 1 - Semi Final Week
U10 Hoppers Giants took on Woodville Pirates in their B Grade elimination semi. Unfortunately with their shots not hitting the right spot, they went down to Woodville 9-19. Chin up boys as you had a great season and should be proud of your efforts.
U10 Hoppers Tigers took to the court to take on St Andrews Giants in the AR Grade qualifying final. The boys grab their opportunities early in the game with great defence and early baskets. They didn't give their opposition a chance keeping them scoreless until the last two minutes. Great effort boys winning 25-3.
U10 Hoppers Wildcats had a slow start taking on Manor Lakes Thunder giving away easy baskets. With a better second half the boys gave their best shot but ran out of time, going down 10-14 in their C2 Grade elimination semi.
U14 Hoppers Giants had many opportunities during their triple overtime B Grade elimination semi against Woodville Timberwolves. Unfortunately they weren't the winners on the day going down 21-23.
U14 Hoppers Tigers have advanced through to next week's AR Grade Grand Final with a gutsy win over St Andrews Jets 39-36.
U12 Hoppers Tigers (Girls) had a tough game against St Andrews Diamond in the B Grade qualifying semi. The girls held off a come back by the opposition to win their way through to next week's Grand Final. Final score 25-19
U16 Hoppers Tigers have survived their B Grade elimination semi defeating Woodville Magic in a low scoring encounter (20-18) to advance through to next week's preliminary final.
U16 Hoppers Wildcats (Girls) were unlucky in their B2 Grade qualifying semi and went down to Iramoo Dream 30-35. Don't worry girls you still have the preliminary final next Saturday.
U14 Hoppers Tigers (Girls) put on an exciting game to over power Flames Cinders in double overtime 22-19 in their B2 Grade elimination semi. Now they take on their preliminary final next Saturday.
U14 Hoppers Wildcats (Girls) were once again too good for the opposition today in their elimination semi final. The girls played well defeating Flames Flares 30-22 to advance through to the preliminary finals.
U18/20 Hoppers Wildcats defeated Woodville Flight in a hard / physical elimination semi-final 26 - 19. A great team effort by all players, making it difficult for the coach to make those hard rotation decisions.
