Andrew has been coaching with Kensington for five years and Nancy for two (with assistant coaching before then). 

Everyone knows Andrew for finally achieving what nobody else had yet been prepared to take on - bringing boys soccer to Kensington Junior Sports. However, many of the parents won't have seen his work as a coach, though all the parents who took on coaching for the boys teams this year have benefited from his advice and experience.

Andrew's coaching directions are clear and consistent and every player on a team coached by him understands what they are expected to do. And this includes communicating with each other - Talk, Talk, Talk is part of the pre-match coach's instructions for every game. And the benefits show in the performance of his teams. They may not win every match, but they always make the other team work hard.

Andrew is also working on developing a coaching manual that all our coaches can benefit from. All this on top of a busy job, involving significant travel, and finding time to play futsal and coach cricket in summer!

Nancy has been a quiet achiever, always modest about her skills and abilities, but once she takes charge, she is in command and her team knows what is expected of them. Her girls u12 team improved through the season and finished off with five straight wins, two of them 6-0! She's been stand-in coach for the u14C team as well.

Nancy and her husband (another), Andrew, are sponsors of the club through their design agency CanDesign and we've seen Nancy's great work on the girls new uniforms, which have been a big hit this season. The Ken Flem Junior Sports Club horse logo has had a makeover and each sport has its own new logo too and they really help our clubs stand out.

Both Andrew and Nancy have brought so much to this club and we are so, so lucky to have them.
