Statement - Return to Training/Play

Dear Epsom FC Members,

The Epsom Football Club are pleased to announce we have overviewed the latest “Return To Play Conditions” from Football Victoria and are conducting several changes around the facility for our club to Football to return as soon as possible.
Along with Junior games, both Junior & Senior training is permitted, adhering to Football Victoria’s Return To Play Conditions.

However, there is a higher level of covid restrictions required for which we require all members to follow to protect our members and the community.
We require all members to observe the latest Return to Play Conditions from Football Victoria and make the personal changes necessary so we can enjoy the sport we love.
As a reminder we have covered some of the previous Return to Play Conditions points below.

• Everyone must check in.
• Use of toilets may be limited/delayed due to limit of one person and clean required after each person.
• Hand sanitising to be done before and after training/games
• No sharing of drink bottles – please bring own named drink bottle
• No sharing of food – eg. fruit/lollies; can be given in individual wrapping or each player provided own bag so not all diving into same container (one person handing out).
• Equipment to be cleaned and sanitised before and after training/games
• Taking home own shirt, bib etc to wash – no sharing of goalie tops/gloves!
• Leaving straight away, arriving in time for game/training
• Staying at home if you have any symptoms, many cold’s are apparent as we speak.
• How can you help your club to ensure everyone can continue playing? Volunteer to clean equipment, gather check ins, clean high touch areas, support the density limits by not bringing extra people to training/games, ask committee/coach/manager “How can I help?”
• Canteen has and encourages use of EFTPOS (no minimum amount, no cash out)
• Be kind to each other and our volunteers, be patient if you have to queue.

We have provided some brief updated conditions of the Football Victoria “Return to Play” documentation below.

• Attendance records must be collected of ALL people entering the venue using the Victorian Government QR Codes allocated around the facility.
• People cannot travel between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria to participate in recreational activities or community sport.
• Players and match officials are not required to wear masks while participating. Coaches and non-playing players aged 12 and over must wear masks outdoors wherever physical distancing of 1.5m cannot be maintained.
• Change rooms, showers and other indoor areas must remain closed to the public. Toilets can open with a limit of one person at a time. Indoor spaces can only be accessed for the purpose of entering indoor toilets or to pass through the indoor space solely for the purpose of accessing an outdoor space.
• Spectators must abide by gathering restrictions – spectators should be in groups of no more than 10 and spread out around the ground or venue. The group of 10 does not include those necessary for the activity to occur, such as the umpire or trainer.
• Only those necessary to support participation (one parent or guardian providing supervision of their child or supervising a participant with additional needs) are permitted to attend training as a spectator and competitions and must abide by gathering restrictions and face mask requirements.
• Non-seated spaces in outdoor sporting facilities are permitted to be used (for permitted spectators, eg parent/carer) . Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. Group sizes to a maximum of 10 people.
• Fixed seated spaces in outdoor sporting facilities are permitted to be used (for permitted spectators, eg parent/carer) up to the lesser of 50% of the seated capacity. Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. Group sizes to a maximum of 10 people.
• Teams must not mix with each other and must remain constant, where participants cannot swap between groups.
• All members of the public participating in the training must be from a single sport team.

We hope that the restrictions will continue to be eased in the coming weeks and the Epsom Football Club along with its members, can all play a part to implement the current safety measures to ensure the safety of our community.
Your support and adherence to the latest restrictions will ensure our members can continue to play the sport we all love.

Regards,
The Epsom Football Club Committee
