Facility Upgrade at Blacksmiths Oval

Supporters and spectators will have witnessed some much needed upgrades to Blacksmiths Oval in recent time’s thanks to support from the NSW Government. The assistance came in the form of a “Community Building Partnership” Grant which allowed Belmont Swansea United FC to complete work to assist players, supporters and spectators alike. Clean up works included a long retaining wall and there were further works that saw extra seating and also concreting and pathways to provide much need assistance for greater disability access to the canteen and facility area at Blacksmiths Oval. As well, the improvements have worked to assist the safety for players and volunteers.

At the time, Northern NSW Football Club Development Officer, Mr. Gary Fisher said the upgrades not only assisted the safety and comfort of players, spectators and supporters but also took the club one step closer in aligning with the Premier Competitions Club facility requirements and assisted many individuals in the community.

Belmont Swansea United FC is committed to working hard to improve the facilities at Blacksmiths Oval for players and spectators and would like to thank the NSW Government for their support.
