Reserves Coaches Report
Saturday saw us go up against top of the ladder Mooroolbark and unfortunately we were hampered with Senior injuries and some unavailable's meaning we had to call on 2 under 19's to fill the bench, however our side showed plenty of heart with a solid performance which had us in the game at 3 qtr time, our effort and endeavour I couldn't question as we brought pressure and intensity around the footy but we just couldn't sustain it in the last qtr as to Mooroolbark's credit they showed their class to kick away and win by 5 goals. Toby Ward was our best kicking 3 and was super on the footy, Danger mopped up across half back all day and Tom Blanche and Finchy again played with plenty of heart down back and out on the wing. All in all a great contest with plenty of positives for our group. Thanks for all the support on a bleak weather day

Senior Coaches Report
This week we hosted Mooroolbark in our last home game of the season. Despite the fact that our fate had been sealed with last week’s loss, we were determined to finish the year of strongly over the remaining 2 weeks. We kicked with the aid of the breeze in the first quarter and didn’t take full toll, only holding a 6 point lead at quarter time. Our 2nd quarter was much better as we kicked 4 goals to 2 against the breeze and took a 16 point lead into half time. Mooroolbark came out hard in the 3rd quarter kicking the first 2 goals and closed the margin to under a goal. Pleasingly we responded and extended the lead to 22 points at 3 quarter time. Predictably Mooroolbark challenged us in the last quarter but we were able to play some mature footy and come away with a 10 point win. James McCubbin played his best game of the season and Will Gordon continued his recent good form. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us in difficult conditions, we hope to see you all out at Doncaster east next week to close out the season.
