A win for the Reserves and a loss for the Seniors wasn’t the result we were looking for this week. The 2nd XVIII kick started the day with a good win .Wylde with 3 majors was the leading goal scorer with Wotton, Parente, Tsolos, De Luca, Wylde and Ward all named in the best. 1st XVIII never found the lead and went down by 22 points Ryan and Raath both with 2 goals were our leading goal kickers and were both named in the best along with Joseph, Bell, Willenberg and Whitchell. The Mitcham Junior Football Club Family Day was a roaring success with the big Slide and pony rides proving very popular and the ladies enjoying the market stalls inside the social club. WELL DONE to Kirsty Grace and her band of helpers Caitlin Porter, Sarah McConnell, Rebecca Linnett, Di Naylor, Jess Grace and Georgia Linnett, THANKS also to all the stall holders. GREAT to see so many of our Juniors out and about wearing your Tiger hoodies supporting the club, its plain to see you boys and girls really have great pride in the club you play for and our new breed of tiger certainly is strong and bold #yellowandblack
Reserves Coaches Report
Racked up our 9th win for the year with a solid effort against Mulgrave, our boys were switched on from the start as our focus was to give a 4 qtr performance. Once again our numbers were challenged as we had more fill ins, thanks to Adam Harris for helping us out. Our best was Brad Wotton in the ruck his all round ground efforts was terrific, again our mids had a great day with Tsolos, Menz,Finchy and Tezz as they dominated in the middle. We have the top side this week in Knox so a big challenge ahead, thanks to all the supporters that came down

Senior Coaches Report
This week we hosted Mulgrave who are always as tough proposition as they play a very team oriented brand of football. Mulgrave has the better of the first quarter but luckily for us missed some gettable shots and held a 6 point lead at quarter time. The 2nd quarter was pretty even but our kicking going in to our forward line let us down and Mulgrave extended their lead to 12 points at the long break. The 3rd quarter was a debacle for us, some extremely undisciplined play saw us lose 3 players to red cards in a short period of time as we gifted goals to Mulgrave because we were more interested in arguing with the umpires instead of playing footy. We did manage to get our heads back in the game for the 2nd half of the quarter and close the margin back to a manageable 16 points at 3/4 time. We kicked the first goal of the last quarter and had a couple of gettable shots at goal that we couldn't convert which would've put the pressure right on Mulgrave bet we were unable to string together consecutive goals to really make them feel the squeeze. Until we learn to play team oriented footy and stop letting selfish acts get the better of us we won't get the results that we are after. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us, we look forward to seeing again this week for our final home game of the season.
