Round 3 of Eastern footy had has making the short trip down south to Charles street to take on the Waverley Blues. Pleasing to say we come away with the 4 points on offer in both games. A very youthful Reserves kick started the day with a good win as the young fellas lead the way - Joseph, Glanville, Howell all amongst the goals with McKeown and De Luca controlling the midfield.
The seniors had to battle hard to get the points only pulling away late in the game, they also got a good return from our young fellas with Parente booting 7. McCubbin and Ryan were dominant in the midfield and Keedle was a handy inclusion down back this week. Congratulations to young Tommy Lucas who made his senior debut this week after starting his football journey way back in The Mitcham Jfc Aus kick 15 years ago.
NEXT WEEK we return to The MCG of the East as we take on Croydon and hopefully see a couple return from injury #strongandbold
Reserves Coaches Report
Heading to Waverley is always a tough contest, our boys were terrific winning comfortably and really taking our game up a level. We were 5 goals to 1 in the first and from there we were too strong with our ability to work for 4 qtrs really pleasing. At 3 qtr time we were 50 pts up and I challenged the group to be relentless which they were and we came away with a 70 pt win. Ben Joseph was outstanding kicking 4 from half back, his run and ability to execute his kicks consistently was very impressive, Danger also found the goals with 4 which was great to see him get rewards for his work, our on ballers and rucks were solid again along with our wingers Marty and Tom Blanche. Some our first year players Tezza and Jolen and their best games. Next week is huge for us as Croydon are undefeated a big challenge for us and we can't wait! Thanks to all the supporters who came along, the boys and I really appreciate having you there.

Senior Coaches Reports
This week we travelled out to Waverley to take on the Waverley Blues, they had gone winless in their first 2 games so we knew they would be desperate to get a win on the board. The 1st quarter was pretty even with our kicking going inside forward 50 letting us down badly as we continually kicked the ball straight to the opposition. In the 2nd quarter Waverley started to get on top and skipped out to a lead of 12 points, we managed to fight back in the 2nd half of the term to go into the main break 2 points behind. In the 3rd quarter we started to play much better footy, using the ball well by foot and finding targets more regularly going forward, we opened up an 11 point margin going into the last quarter. After conceding the 1st goal in the last quarter we responded with some good hard footy winning the ball around the stoppages and using some good run and carry, by doing this we were able to get the ball in deep to Jake Parente in a one on one situation and he was fantastic using his body well and taking some good strong contested grabs kicking 4 goals for the quarter and ending up with 7 for the match. It allowed us to come away with a comfortable 19 point win which was pleasing. Jayke Murray was very good for us all day across half forward and pinch hitting in the ruck winning plenty of footy and Jayden Hoegel put in his best game of the season as he was dynamic around the contest all day. Next week we host Croydon at home in a pivotal game for us, we hope to see all our supporters down there to cheer us on.
