Our 3rd and final practice match of preseason 2017 had us again travelling south this time to take on the Chelsea Seagulls from the very strong Mornington Peninsula Football League. The coaching staff would have been very happy to come away with 2 wins especially considering we had close to 20 players unavailable, injured or having a week off in preparation for round 1.
Coach Neil Winterton said after the game “the pleasing part of today’s game was we had a dozen players play in the senior game under 21, either new players to the club looking for senior opportunities or players that have come though from the under 19''s, it should stand us in good stead for the season proper”
BIG Thank you to the Chelsea Football Club for your hospitality today and Good Luck for season 2017, we look forward to hosting you guys next year at The MCG of the East - Walker Park
It’s going to be an exciting week as we return to the Newly resurfaced MCG of the East, Walker Park for training and plenty of players pushing for senior section going into our big round one clash against Upper Gully away #strongandbold
