Great to see the Mitcham Junior Football Club once again taking it out to the community with their junior development program.
Apart from great leadership and innovation, one of the reasons for the recent growth at the Mitcham Junior Football Club has been their ability to get out into the community and in particular, the clinics they run at local schools. Junior President Craig Giles ran a Girls only clinic at Antonio Park PS this week and worked with a large number of very talented girls.
After a short introduction, the girls rotated through a number of different activities and displayed a high level of skill and ability. At the end of the session after a short quiz and with prizes Craig invited all interested Girls to come down to Walker Park and give Girls footy a try. Judging by the enthusiastic response, expect to see some more of Antonio Parks’s finest female athletes gracing the turf at the MCG of the East in season 2017.
Big thanks to Antonio Park PE teacher Ben Clark for organizing the students for the clinic. Also a shout-out to Marie-Claire Giles for taking some great action shots. WELL DONE Craig on continuing o grow the Brand of The Mitcham football club and making sure we connect with the local community
