Great to have all 3 teams playing together again at the same venue this week all be it in true winter conditions. The Under 19s started like a team that has not had much footy in the last four weeks and were very slow out of the blocks, but they managed to kick 6 of the last 8 goals to win a low scoring affair. The Reserves had an arm wrestle for the first half before the game broke open after half time to record a good 7 goal win. Unfortunately the Seniors were very disappointing and perhaps the final margin was a little flattering to our boys. The up side is there is plenty to work on and plenty of room for improvement. Well done to our junior club on running the junior inter league Saturday and Monday nothing but glowing reports from all involved.
NEXT WEEK we welcome The Waverly Blues to the MCG of the East for our return bout and we hope to see the Tiger army out in full force. Don’t forget our Business Partners and Player plus sponsors are invited in for complementary refreshments @ half time of the senior game and we also suggest our Tigonian members stick around for the Tigonian draw after the clash.
On the social front no sooner has the dust settled on the highly successful comedy night and we start planning for the next president’s lunch with four-time premiership player and Hawthorn Champion Sam Mitchell on the 2nd of July. You wouldn’t want to waste any time in booking your tickets for this one, which is also our business partners and the players sponsor lunch.
Under 19s Coaches Report
Finally got a game of footy on the weekend which was somewhat unusual for us! That being said we faced a side with only one win but had also challenged Croydon & Lilydale who hold the top two ladder positions in our division. Our start was a little sloppy but in wet and muddy conditions we knew it wouldn't come easy. We kept battling away and finally got some reward on the scoreboard. We were 2 goals down at the first break but in the second quarter our boys played a much better brand of footy. A freak goal from Josh Doidge saw us take the lead at half time and we really didn't look back from there. Luke McKeown, Josh Kable, Ben Joseph and Oscar Anderson were amongst the standouts while Mick Barro & Toby Ward were solid as always down back. Another game at home this week v Wav Blues. A great chance to get some consistency into our game. Thanks to our supporters who braved the cold to support us! Look forward to getting back on Walker Park this week for three senior wins.

Reserves Coaches Report
Winter arrived big time at Mulgrave cold and wet, the ground held up ok however it was tough conditions for all players. Gaining territory and sticking to basics was the message as the win would see us keep right up there with the top 5 sides. We started well in the first half with much more of the footy however the scoring was difficult one gaol a piece. I knew the game was about to break open if we continued to play with effort and endeavour and so it did, we kicked 6 goals to zero in the third term to put the game away, our ruck was dominating with Brad, Menzies and Ethan along with us on ballers Beags, Bluey, Sam B and Adelaide clearing most of the stoppages. Our forward line was super with Danger kicking four, Dylan Wylde far too good for his opponent setting up at least 4-5 goals for the game and Whitchy as always converting his chances. Our back 6 was also terrific with Rob Durham showing some good form. Very pleasing to see us really take the game by the scruff of the neck and get great reward for our effort, massive game this week against Waverley at home where we haven't won yet this year. Plenty to work on still no doubt so training during the week is paramount, huge thanks to our supporters who braved the conditions.

Senior Coaches Report
This week we faced a dangerous Mulgrave team who were coming off a good 10 goal win the week before. We knew we would have to come ready to play and get off to a good start, unfortunately we were unable to do so and played unaccountable football laced with poor decision making and skill errors and found ourselves in a 6 goal hole at half time. Our 2nd half was much better but we had left our run too late. Jackson Glossop and Daniel Johnson continued their fine seasons down back and Julz Petracca led from the front all day. A big game this week against Waverley at home, hopefully we see everyone at the game and we get back to playing some good footy. Thanks to everyone who came down to watch us on the weekend.
