Mitcham Seniors exorcised a few demons on Sunday when it claimed a breakthrough finals victory. The Tigers overcame the memories of last year's finals defeat in extra time, and the club's 10-year drought since last winning a Senior finals game, to defeat a plucky Basin in the Division 3 elimination final in front of a large crowd at the Vermont Recreation Reserve.
While the under 19’s were gallant in defeat and eliminated from the finals race the Reserves are just one win Away from the big dance.
This week the Reserves play at East Burwood on Saturday while the Seniors do it all again Sunday at Vermont, with fine weather predicted, we should see big Mitcham crowds out in force again this weekend.
