The Melton Bloods are pleased to announce the appointment of Aaron Tymms as our new Senior Football Coach.
Tymms joined the Bloods at the beginning of the 2017 season as a Senior Assistant Coach after a decorated 400 game playing career in the WRFL with the Albion Football Club and three years as Albion's Senior Coach. He was also involved as an Assistant Coach of the WRFL Interleague team during his time with Albion.
Bloods Football Manager Brad Jamison is pleased the club has settled on a coach for next season and indicated that Tymms brought a lot to the table throughout the interview process. "Tymmsy already has a strong knowledge of our playing list which will be beneficial as we ramp up our recruiting and contracting over the next few weeks. Throughout the interview process his passion and enthusiasm for our coaching role stood out, and he presented some very strong ideas and plans for 2018 and beyond”.
Club President Greg Davis is equally as pleased to have settled on a coaching appointment for next year. “We believe we are heading on the right path and needed someone to take us to the next step. We believe Tymmsy is the best person to do that”.
For Tymms the opportunity to take the reins as senior coach again is exciting and he is looking forward to stamping his own mark at the Bloods. “It's going to take a lot of hard work to achieve our goals, we can have all the talent in the world, but 'hard work defeats talent when talent fails to work hard'” he said.
Announcements regarding Assistant coaches, a Reserves coach and Under 18.5s coach will follow in coming weeks.
Pre-season training is expected to commence on Monday 13th November.
