Woodend/Hesket – A solid start to the season with two wins and three losses having come up against the top sides in the last couple of weeks. A new look team this year has great flexibility, and a positive and encouraging attitude.
Wallan – Sitting a couple of places below the Hawks on the ladder, the games have been close the last couple of seasons.
Woodend/Hesket – came out strong in the first quarter with great defensive pressure across the court. They fell away during the second and third quarter only to have a stunning 10-5 last quarter. The Hawks eventually went down 29-10 against Diggers.
Wallan – went down 13-32 against top of the table Macedon, who beat Woodend by 10 so it’s going to be close
WHY THEY WILL WIN
Woodend Hesket – flexible team with a variety of options in attack and defence and coming off 91-percent accuracy by the goalers the team knows what it needs to do to play a consistent four quarter effort. Have started really strongly in every game this season.
Wallan – will want to beat a team that sits above them on the ladder
WHO WILL WIN
Woodend Hesket will take this game in a closely fought contest with their run through the mid court, ability to take intercepts and apply pressure over the court and with strong and accurate shooting.
