Four from four is a welcome return for round 2 of the VAFA season. With a new look 19's taking to the the home ground for the first time and a couple of debutants in the seniors it was an exciting weekend of footy.
Mazenod bounced back into form with a solid 22 point win away from home. Shaun Black and Stevie Welsford came into the squad for their first senior games at the club and more then contributed with their hardness at the footy and composure in tight. Jace Kelly continues his early season good form whilst old faithful Francis Reed is looking to continue his string of top 6 finishes in the senior B & F with a best on ground performance.

In the reserves the boys came home the stronger team finishing off with a 5 goal last quarter to run out 10 point winners. With 23 scoring shots to 13 for the game and a 1 goal 5 third quarter the game could have being put away earlier. Jimmy Egan was potent up forward whilst Dave Regard was a welcome return after working on his tan over the past couple of weeks. Coach Azza was very impressed with young gun and first year player Jack Campbell who came into the side after impressing last week.

The Thirds made the long treck out to Leafy Essendon to play PEGS and came away with a resounding win. Rain man, Barrell and first Gamer Rigg got themselves on the score board with a few cheeky ones. Whilst the Raging bull was at his rampaging best kicking a couple and serving up a couple other to Freddie Deegan and Pickles.

Finally, but most definatley not least the most exciting team at the club got their first win on the board for the season after going so close last week. In a heart stopper the quick and skillful nodders got over the line by 4 pts. Xavier Patti continued his great start to the year and was well supported by Rob McCarthy and Tommy Cincotta who kicked three up forward.
