The Altona Football Club invites applications for the Senior Women’s coaching position for the 2020 season.
Affiliated with the Western Region Football League, the Altona FC is a strong community club established in 1918. Fielding three senior men’s sides, in 2020 the club will field our inaugural Senior Women’s side in the WRFL providing a platform for our strong youth female footballers to continue their passion.
The Senior Women’s Coach is responsible for player recruitment, development and retention to support the pathway for female football at Altona FC.

he successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:

Coaching evidence of strategic actions and outcomes in the leadership categories of: on-field results, player development and training techniques.A desire for team development and success.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including representation at league promotional events and responding to media enquiries.
- A passion for junior development to support our pathway program from youth to senior women’s football.
- Lead a culture within the Club that supports connectivity between the junior club, senior men’s and women’s teams that enriches our Club.
Applicants are required to hold the applicable AFL Coaching Accreditation and valid Working with Children’s Check or be able to secure in the event of successful appointment.
Playing and non-playing appointments will be considered. Male and Female applicants are encouraged to apply.
