Come & Try AFL Night This Wednesday 22nd February 2017.

To all Crows or Prospective Crows members.

The club will be holding a Registration & Come & Try night next Wednesday night 22nd February at Cook Park from 5pm to 7:30pm.

Come & Try Session:-

We will have a couple of Giants Players come & pay us a visit from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on that night so I encourage as many of you to get down there & bring friends along.

AFL 9's - Senior Competition - Non Contact

AFL/NSW are running an AFL 9's Mixed Open age competition commencing Thursday 20th October with games at 6:15pm & 7pm.(Competition will run for 8 weeks).

There will be a "Come & Try Session" this Thursday night 13th October at
at Leonay Oval, Emu Plains - commencing 6:15pm.

This would be ideal for any U17's or parents who want to have a bit of fun.

The GIANTS have only two more home games at Spotless Stadium for the 2016 Home and Away season. This Saturday, 13 August we’re taking on the West Coast Eagles at 4:35pm and next Saturday, 20 August we play Fremantle.

It’s a very exciting time here at the club as we’re currently sitting fourth on the ladder.

Club Captain for 2016

I am pleased to announce our Club captain for 2016 is Liam O'Keefe.

Liam has been with our club since 2005 and commenced competitive football in 2007.

As a player, Liam has had great success being part of premiership sides in 2007,2009,2011,2012,2013 & 2015. He was also part of sides in 2008 and 2014 that made Grand finals but regret did not take away the title in those years.

I am pleased to advise that as a result of the club AGM held last Tuesday night 27th October a new Committee has been elected to run the club in 2016.

There are still a few vacant positions some of which will be filled at next Committee meeting in November.

Pay a Deposit for 2016 on Presentation Day

On Presentation this, Sunday 13th September, we are going be taking deposits for players returning to the club in 2016.

After the success we had on the field this year & the unbridled joy that resounded around Spotless Stadium last Sunday we really hope to see all of the players up to the age of 17 (i.e born after 1998) return to the club to give us a base to build on.

Special Offer to Grand Final Teams

It has been decided by the club that as a reward to the teams that made the Grand Final that the players be provided the opportunity to purchase their jersey on Presentation Day, this Sunday 13th September 2015.

As we will need to replace any that are sold for the 2016 season the cost of purchasing the jersey is set at $40.

The Western Sydney GIANTS Juniors Presentation Night will be held Monday 31st August 2015

Where:- Mounties, The Showroom 101 Meadows Road, Mt Pritchard

St Clair Crows Silent Auctions

From tomorrow the club will be running silent Auctions on two fantastic items, these would both suit your bar at home or a company boardroom.

The first of these is a Giants 2015 jersey that has been signed by all the players & the club has had framed & included pictures from the Giants season so far. This is a genuine article & would make you the envy of all Giants Fans.

150 Game Milestone for Ethan Claxton

Tomorrow marks the 150 game milestone for Ethan Claxton our 2015 Club Captain.

Ethan started with the club back in 2007 as a 9 year old playing a couple of years in the U10's & at various times over the journey filling in for higher age groups.

Ethan has had plenty of success along the way including Premierships, selection in Development Squads & Representative honours.

150 Game Milestone for Liam O'Keefe

Last Sunday Liam O'Keefe played his 150th game for the club, a magnificent achievement a milestone only achieved by a handful of players within the club.

If club records are correct Liam started out as an Auskicker way back in 2006 at the age of 6 & started his playing junior footy in our U10's the following year (when it was still a competitive age group).

Amart Sports Community Kickback Program Update

The Crows have been registered with Amart Sports Penrith as part of their Community Kickbacks program returning benefits back to schools & clubs. There was an issue which has been resolved.

Now that the club has been registered all you need to do is join the Amart Sports loyalty program to start returning benefits to the club (5% of all purchases are returned to the club). Click more for Flyermore

Cook Park Closed for training this week

Unfortunately, due to the consistent rain, training at Cook Park has been cancelled this week. The decision was made for player safety and to give a chance to keep the grounds playable for Sunday.more

Cook Park Closed - Round 1 Games Cancelled

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain we have had to make the decision to call off the games scheduled at Cook Park today.

Auskick, 11's, 14's & 17's.

This was not an easy decision. The cricket pitch area was unsafe for play & we weren't prepared to risk the safety of our or opposing players - which was a distinct possibility based on state of pitch just walking on it was an issue.more

More Honours For Our U15 Players

Congratulations to Aaron Charity, Corey Dowle and Savelio (Lio) Pahulu players from our U15 squad who have been selected in the NSW DEC High Schools U15 Sydney West squad. This carnival will take place on Thursday, 23/4/15 at Greenway Park, Carnes Hill, where they will play Sydney South West and Sydney South. Good luck to you all & play well.more

Irrigation & Drainage Works at Cook Park Postponed

We have been advised by Penrith Council that due to delays with Contractors the planned installation of irrigation & drainage system at Cook Park has been postponed until the end of footy season.

They will still be installing underground water tank outside the oval.

This means we will be able to use Cook Park for training & the start of the season.more

Congratulations on behalf of the Crows goes out to Matthew (Matty) Moore who has recently been selected, as one of a squad of 25 players, to attend the 2015 Indigenous Kickstart Championships which are to be held in Cairns in April 2015.

Another Milestone for Crow - Connor Owen-Auburn

Congratulations to Connor Owen-Auburn who has been selected to play in the U18’s PM Capital Academy Side that will play against the Sydney Swans Academy on Sunday March 22nd at Blacktown (BISP).

Game commences at 2pm so if your not doing anything & want to see one of our Crows as he heads towards the big time head on down & cheer him on.more

Coaching Coordinator ideally someone not involved as a coach to act as mentor to club coaches.

Ground Maintenance coordinating ground set up pre game day.

Property Officer who looks after / manages equipment uniform distribution to teams.
