Saade Ghazi, senior coach, will hold a meet and greet for the 2018 U19 squad at the Altona Bowling Club on Sunday 12 November from 11:30am - 1:30pm. WRFL 2017 B&F - Steven Kennedy, Div 1 Seniors

Altona star Steve Kennedy was rewarded for his outstanding season, he won the Division 1 Best and Fairest.

He finished the count on 23 votes, four ahead of last year’s winner Kwame McHarg from Deer Park. Chris Stewart, also from Deer Park, rounded out the top three.more

WRFL 2017 B&F - Ethan Taylor, U19s

Ethan Taylor from Altona capped off his impressive season, winning the Under-19 Best and Fairest award by one vote. Sam Paton finished in 3rd position, two votes behind Ethan.

It's been a big year for Ethan captaining the team and receiving Best on Ground for the grand final.more

Vale - Frank 'Bud' Howard

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of former premiership player Frank "Bud" Howard.

Bud played for Altona Rovers in 1947 and joined the Altona Senior ranks in 1948.

Bud was a member of the 1951 Premiership team and played in the numerous final sides of the early 50's.more

What a weekend! Our U19 boys remain defeated with a 134pt win against Newport and the seniors were finally victorious at the home of Sunshine with a 9pt victory. The win has knocked Sunshine from 1st to 3rd and placed us into 5th position. The reserves narrowly lost to Sunshine in a tight final quarter and are sitting in second position with Sunshine return to the top of the ladder.

Successful Practice Match vs Springbank

On Saturday our Senior Players played a 6 quarter practice match against Central Highlands Football League Club, Springbank. Both clubs took the opportunity to give a number of players some valuable game time. While no official scores were kept, Altona were definitely the better side on the day.more

Successful Weekend in Ballarat

Our Senior squad journeyed to Ballarat last w/e for a Practice Match against Central Highlands Football League powerhouse Waubra. Playing their 1st game for the year the team won against strong opposition. The squad stayed in Ballarat for a training camp following the game.more

Altona FC has been seen recently at Masters Hardware in Williams Landing manning the BBQ. Organised by the BBQ kings John Ashcroft and Igor Vivoda these days are very important to keep fundraising happening over the summer season.more
