COVID Safe Plan

Good Morning,

We welcome the Victorian Governments announcements to resume regional junior and senior sports.

For the club to recommence training and games, we have had to develop a detailed COVIDSAFE plan in the event of an infection or outbreak in our community. Please read through the plan thoroughly and should you have any concerns, do not hesitate to contact our club secretary via email racheloper@gmail.com.

This is a great thing for community sport, however also, in order to return, the club has had to implement some changes as per the FV and VIC GOV return to play guidelines. Please take the time to read through the information relating to the return of football in regional areas at https://www.footballvictoria.com.au/return-conditions. We ask that you familiarize yourself with these changes and help us to implement them seamlessly in order to continue moving forward with the season.

Some notable changes we have had to implement include:

- Ensuring all home games have a COVID Marshal present. (in order to facilitate this we are asking for a volunteer from each team to undertake a quick infection control training course at https://www.health.gov.au/.../covid-19-infection-control...) - Unfortunately without volunteers to ensure this criteria is met, the game WILL NOT go ahead.

- Only 1 parent is allowed at training and games per child.

- Only players, officials and coaches are allowed on the Strathdale soccer fields at both training and games. (The notable exception to this is if a child is in need of extra care due to a medical condition or issue - then 1 parent will be allowed to enter the area.)

- ALL attendees to the ground for more than 15 minutes must sign in through the club QR code. (Each team manager/coach has been given a copy of this to ensure ease on game days and training and less congestion at codes taped on walls, to maintain physical distancing).

Whilst we understand that these restrictions and changes aren't the ideal situation, we must all work together to get back to our normality.

Our main priority is getting players back on the field playing the game we all love and to do that we need ALL of you to help. Anyone who thinks they have something to add to help, we welcome this with open arms.

We are all in this together.

We can't wait to see you all back out there very soon, until then, please stay safe and remember, GO BLUES!!!

Warm Regards,

SSC Committee
