The McGuiness Medal is awarded to the fairest and best player of the Morningside Supercats u/35's during the AFL Masters season.
The medal is in honour of the great Morningside and Coorparoo midfielder Noel McGuinness, winner of the Grogan Medal in 1953 and 1954 and runner up by a single vote in 1955.
Noel also collected the QAFL Reserves grade fairest and best in 1952 at the young age of 17, remarkable given Morningside did not even have a seniors side that year.
We ercognise the achievements of Noel and thank him for accepting our offer to be involved with the Supercats and the highest award given to any individual player.
Votes are awarded on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis at the conclusion of each game.
