2019 (Summer 19/20):  Introduction of new Reversible uniform & engaged First Ever to supply & distribute uniforms to eliminate the need for a Uniform Coordinator.

2018 (December): Presented the Mark Jennings award to

2017 (December): Presented the Mark Jennings award to Madison Finlay - Under 18 Girls

2016 (December): Presented the Mark Jennings award to Jessie Milhe - Under 18 Girls

2016 (Winter): New Cannons merchandise range introduced including new hoodie and clash top designs and a warm up top.  Cannons branded coaches bags and polo tops were also introduced.

2015 (December): Presented the Mark Jennings award to Luke Dawson - Under 18 Boys

2015 (December): The club awards Life Membership to Ms. Jacinta Dimasi

2014 (December): Presented Inaugural Mark Jennings award to Christina Popa - Under 16 Girls

2014 (June): Introduced Mark Jenning's Award to be presented at Christmas Party each year 

2014 (Winter): Introduced teams to the Westgate Basketball Association Competion

2013 (December): Mark Jennings (Life Member), aged 54 passes away

2012 (Summer): Adopted use of Fox Sports Pulse free web builder & altered website's look & feel

2012 (Winter): Commenced on-line registrations via Fox Sports Pulse

2011 (August): The club awards Life Membership to Mr. Mark Jennings and Mr. Andrew Fithall.

2009 (November): As a better way of identifying teams, the team names are changed to first three letters of the coach's name.

2009 (February): Royal blue "hoodies" introduced.

2008 (November): Upgraded the uniform throughout the club to a glossy gold with yellow lenses, "Cannons" name, white number, and clash tops. 

2007 (August): Monthly "Cannon Shots" e-mail newsletter commences.

2006 (December): Christmas party is moved from "Tumbles" to the Fearon Reserve

2006: The Cannons' website "williamstowncannons.org.au" is launched.

2002 (May 22nd): 10th anniversary celebrations held at the Bristol Hotel.

2001 (February): First club "Information Booklet" is put together by Kerry and Bob Jones.

2000 (December): Christmas party is moved from W'town Nth PS to "Tumbles".

1996 (February): Uniform is changed to a gold "mesh"-type singlet with blue shorts.

1995 (14th July): The club is formally incorporated as the Williamstown Cannons Basketball Club Inc.

1993 (February): First AGM of the Williamstown Cannons & First use of colours to distinguish teams (e.g. blue / gold etc).

1992 (November 9th): Name of the club changed to Williamstown Cannons.

1992 (October, Summer season): Uniform was a yellow singlet with white number, and blue shorts.

1992 (10th August): First interim committee formed for the Williamstown Gunners.

1992 (Winter): First season of the Williamstown Gunners Basketball Club. The uniform was a yellow singlet, white number with black football shorts.

Late 1991: The Williamstown Gunners Basketball Club was started by Glenn Wright with Genevieve Pritchard (who became the first President). The club operated from the Altona North Tech Assembly Hall on Millers Road.  Games were played at Altona North Tech, Altona North High, Williamstown Tech and Altona Green Primary School.
