Round 14
Coleraine Vs Dartmoor
Coleraine Vs Dartmoor games are usually played with plenty of animosity and with the finals getting ever closer we needed to keep our heads and get the job done.
Seniors
A really pathetic performance by Dartmoor today.
For a team with top 3 aspirations, they showed no signs at all as Coleraine were in control all afternoon to win by 83 points as new Dad, Bradley Rhook showed up straight from the hospital and kicked 5 goals !
Sandford next, then a very tough finish against Heathmere, Tyrendarra and Westerns to determine where we finish on the ladder.
Reserves
The Reserves battled well to get the points today with a 19 point win over Dartmoor.
A little disappointing that Dartmoor on the road were at full strength while the 2nd placed Maroons at home were still battling for a bench before the 1st bounce, but regardless of that, it gave our boys some tough footy which will only help them on the way to the finals, which now look likely for the 1st time since 2006.
A-Grade
Dartmoor with no A-Grade, handed the Maroons a free win and with Westerns loss to Heathmere, places us just a single win out of 3rd spot and the double chance.
B-Grade
B-Grade are still in the fight for finals, but very nearly blew it after falling over the line against winless bottom side Dartmoor.
It's good we get the 4 points, but with a do or die game against Sandford next week, we'll need to be right on our game.
C-Grade
The match up with fellow battlers Dartmoor saw our girls work very hard but unable to get the win, going down by 10 goals.
Keep improving girls, it will only help for next season.
Under 17's
Unfortunately the U/17's missed out in a real "8 point" game today against Dartmoor, losing by 10 goals and now 6 points outside the 5.
We've got a tough match with Sandford next week but could really use a boilover so we can keep in the fight for 5th.
Under 15's
YOU LITTLE RIPPER !!!!!!!!!
After 13 weeks of busting their tails and desperately trying to improve despite loss after loss, the U/15's have got their 1st win for the season and in doing so, may have ruined Dartmoor's push for the finals.
The girls did a wonderful job, putting everything they have learned to good use and ran away to a 7 goal win to a chorus of cheers.
Well done girls, this is great news !!
Under 13's
The Dartmoor side have an amazing record of never seeming to have U/13's, but always managing to have U/15's.
Makes you wonder where they progress from, doesn't it ?
Yet again they have no team, so our U/13's picked up a win and still in with a chance to pinch top spot.
Next Week we are home to the Villagers from Sandford.
