Round 12
Coleraine Vs Cavendish
After having such a good crowd against Westerns, a much smaller crowd witnessed our games against Cavendish.
Both footy games went our way and we had 2 winners at netball and another 2 very close losses.
We all hope that Steven Paton recovers quickly from his cheekbone injury.
Seniors
After a very even first half, the Mighty Maroons had an excellent finish to the game to come away with a 38 point win.
With Westerns, Tyrendarra and Dartmoor all trying to push us out of top spot, we can't afford to take our foot off the pedal next week against bottom of the table Branxholme/Wallacedale.
Reserves
An excellent result against another likely finalist, with a 37 point win against Cavendish was spoiled late with Steven Paton getting belted and getting a broken cheekbone after he totally dominated his opponent all game.
We hope he will recover quickly, but in the meantime we must also keep playing as well as we can in order to keep our double chance hopes alive.
A-Grade
A very unfortunate 1 goal loss for the A-Grade girls has put them back in the ruck a bit for finals, but we are sure that the girls will hit back hard this week.
B-Grade
B-Grade had a tricky game against 3rd placed Cavendish and unfortunately, couldn't get the points this time.
B-Grade is now in a two team fight for the last finals spot and will need to make sure of a good win this week to keep in the hunt.
C-Grade
C-Grade tried hard against one of the premiership contenders and found the going tough.
However this week gives the girls a big chance to get off the bottom of the ladder and we are all behind them !!
Under 17's
The Under 17's showed just what they are capable of with a brilliant win to keep their finals hopes alive against the much higher placed Cavendish.
After a rough patch, hopefully the girls are now back on song and can power their way into the finals.
Under 15's
As the great Dick Dastardly from Wacky Races used to say..........
"Drat....Drat....Double Drat !!!!!"
The girls played magnificently against 2nd placed Cavendish and nearly caused the boilover of the year, going down by just 5.
They have been improving all the time and this result shows that it is beginning to come together.
Maybe this'll be the week girls, come on we know you can do it !!!!!!!
Under 13's
The mini-Maroons with a set of massive ticker's continued to show that they are a big chance to bring home the flag after a scary 45 goal win.
Keep going girls, the whole club is hoping you can keep it going.
This week we are away to Branxholme/Wallacedale.
