Games are played at various Basketball stadiums in the Brisbane Bayside area with the majority at the Clem Jones Centre, Zahel St Carina. There are several divisions for all age groups and skill levels.

 Basketball is played all year round with breaks during the school holidays. There are three competitions run throughout the year, Grading Competition in term 1 of the school year, Championship Competition is played in terms 2 and 3 and Summer Competition is played in term 4. Only the Championship Competition conducts a ladder system and finals for Under 11 and above. The Under 7 and 9 do not have finals but games are still conducted to the end of term.  

There are 2 to 4 grades of competition for Club juniors from Under 11 up to the Under 17 grades depending on the number of teams nominated.  

 Division 1 and 2 competitions are more competitive and typically for the more experienced and representative players. Divisions 3 and 4 is more suited for new players and those refining their skills. The Bayside Jets Basketball Club is fortunate enough to be able to cater for all types of players with the number of teams we have in each of the grades for the different age groups. 

• Under 7's (mini-ball) to Under 13 boys and girl’s division 3 and 4 games are played on a Saturday from 8am until 2pm - all at the Clem Jones Centre;
• Under 13's division 1 and 2, Under 15's and Under 17's are played on a Friday night from 5pm until 9.20pm - various stadiums;
• Under 19 Men and Women games are played on a Tuesday night from 6pm to 8.30pm - all at Clem Jones Centre; and
• Open Men and Women games are played on a Monday night from 6pm to 9.20pm - all at Clem Jones Centre.

Saturday morning games are played between 8:00am and 3:00pm.  Friday night games are played between 5:00pm to 10:00pm.  Under 7 (Biddy-ball) is modified rules played on half a court with 4 players taking the court and rings lowered. Under 9 (mixed) play on a full court with rings lowered and modified rules but with the introduction of 5 players.
