The Gungahlin Flames Basketball Club (GFBC) is proud to be an affiliated Aussie Hoops provider for Basketball ACT.

What is Aussie Hoops?
Aussie Hoops is a national learn-to-play program for children aged 5-10yrs. Lessons are designed to teach children gross motor skills, as well as the basic skills of basketball through modified games and activities. Aussie Hoops is all about participation and fun, and is a great introductory for children to team sports in a safe and inclusive enviroment.

How long does the program run for?
Aussie Hoops runs every school term for 8 weeks. Sessions are 45mins.

When - Friday's
Time - 4.00pm
Where - John Paul College (1021 Gungahlin Drive Nicholls)*
Cost - $98 for new participants (Aussie Hoops pack included), $78 for returning participants
*website states Gold Creek Senior School however it is a location error with JPC being a new school

What is in the Aussie Hoops pack?
All new participants will receive an Aussie Hoops pack which includes an Aussie Hoops branded basketball (size 5), reversible green/gold singlet and drawstring bag.

Are Aussie Hoops coaches accredited?
The GFBC is lucky enough to have some of the states most experienced Aussie Hoops coaches who have been around the program for over 10yrs. Head coaches are L1 and L2 Basketball Coach qualified and must hold WWVP cards. The club also provides opportunities for development coaches to gain experience and skills within the Aussie Hoops program.
