2022/23 Summer Season Info

Juniors 2022 Summer

Basketball ACT have introduced a new format for the upcoming junior summer season with two different competitions on offer:

Junior Slam - draft league for U15 & U17 (JPL players)
Junior Social - open league for all age groups (Div 1-6 teams)

The Gungahlin Flames Basketball Club is excited to continue to provide teams for returning and new members for summer. The GFBC will be opening up registrations for players and teams wanting to enter the Junior Social leagues for U10's, U12's, U14's, U16's and U19's age groups.

Summer Social competitions will commence 15-16th October and run through to 26-27th Novemnber with Grand Finals being held on 3-4th December 2022. The competition is a 7 round season plus finals.

Interest is sought for Boys and Girls born 2004 or later. There will be no trials for the summer season, teams will be selected based on confirmed registrationsand previous playing experience. See below for further information or don't hesitate to contact us.

Training: 1 x 1hr session weekdays (days and time TBC after nominations)

Games: 1 x 1hr games weekends

Friday: Junior Slam
Saturday: U12 Social and U16 Social
Sunday: U10 Social, U14 Social and U19 Social

Cost: $100.00 for U10's, $110.00 for U12-19's (fees cover games, playing singlet hire, club admin)*

Uniforms:

Club Singlet: supplied and returned upon completion of season
Club Shorts: $35.00 to buy (or plain black shorts can be worn)

*fees stated above do not include the compulsory Basketball ACT individual player registration fee per player ($28.50)

Seniors 2022/23 Summer

The Gungahlin Flames Basketball Club is seeking interest from all senior players for the upcoming 2022/23 summer competitions.

The GFBC can facilitate senior teams in the following BACT competitions:

Women - Open (Thu), A Grade (Thu), B Grade (Tue), C Grade (Mon), D Grade (Mon)
Men - Open (Thu), A Grade (Thu), B Grade (Mon/Wed), C Grade (Mon/Wed), D Grade (Mon/Wed)
Mixed - A Grade (Tue), B Grade (Tue)

Senior Premier - Summer Opens:
Summer Opens competitions will commence 6th October and run through to 24th November with Grand Finals being held on Thursday 8th December 2022. The competition is an 8 round season plus final series. Costs are TBC*. Any players wishing to play in this competition must contact Jesamine Wheeler on 0417255794.

Senior Social Competitions:
Summer Social competitions will commence 10-13th October and run through to 20-23rd March with Grand Finals being held on 3-6th April 2022. The competition is an 18 round season plus final series. Costs are TBC*. Any players wishing to play in these competitions must contact Jesamine Wheeler on 0417255794.
