Laurimar Thunder Basketball Club (LTBC) was established in 2009 and began playing in 2010.  We are located in Doreen and participate in the Diamond Valley Basketball Association.   

Our club has experienced extraordinary growth in our short history.  In 2010 LTBC commenced its first season with a small number of junior teams.  Today we have 36 boys and girls teams (approx 270+ members) aged between 6 and 18 catering for all standards of basketball.

We are a not for profit volunteer organisation.  Volunteers are the lifeblood of sport and vital to the successful running of any sports club.  We exist through the hard work and dedication of the Committee, Coaches and Team Managers.  There is always plenty to do.  If you are interested in helping or have a skill set (coaching, fund raising, administration etc) that can assist the club, please contact a current Committee member.

Thunder Birds

We have championed our girls by giving them their very own name, uniform and in doing so their own identity and culture.  This is just one initiative the club has in place to promote women in sport and in our short history, this initiative has proven to be one of the best decisions the club has made, our girls just love playing for the Thunder Birds!

Laurimar Primary School

We are very proud of our relationship with the Laurimar Primary School and together with the schools facilities and management along with our dedication we have been able to deliver a first rate and convenient training venue for our members.
