On Sunday 16th July HPJFC are holding our second ever “Legends Game” for past players of the Hampton Park Junior Football Club.
This year the game will be in honour of our mate, Shaun Ross (Tossa) who lost his battle with mental illness in November last year. Along with our partner organisation, Mindfull, we aim to raise the profile and remove the stigma of mental illness.
At the completion of the game, we will host a dinner and Matt Runnalls, founder of Mindfull, will speak on the subject of mental illness and suicide prevention.
It should be a great day with a bit of fun, reflection and an important message behind it.
Tickets are:
· $70 for players –this gets you your jumper, socks and dinner / presentation.
-
$40 for dinner only. Limited tickets available, be quick.
-
Presentation by Mindfull will be open to everybody – may be standing room.
The day will kick off around 2:00 with the game starting at 3:00. Bar will be open. Entry is a gold coin donation or $5 per car with all proceeds going to Mindfull to help fund future projects.
Any past players interested in playing, please call me on the number below or Facebook message me. Playing numbers will be capped at 50 so get in quick.
