The Parkside Amateur Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Rick Frost as the Club’s Senior Coach for the 2017 season. All players both current and future are invited to attend a meet and greet session with Rick in the clubrooms on Wednesday 7 December 2016 starting at 7.30pm.
Rick, played his junior football at Macleod and St Damiens Football Clubs before selection for the Northern Knights representative Under 18 team - winning its Best & Fairest award in 1998. Following a successful junior career Frosty, was invited to play with the Melbourne Football Club and was sub-listed under current Brisbane Lions coach Chris Fagan.
To pursue his AFL dream, Rick then played with the South Fremantle Football Club in the Western Australian Football League under coach John Northey (coach of 315 AFL games). The quick style and professional nature of the competition gave him specific insights on what creates strong football culture and competitive performances at high levels. After numerous knee injuries he decided to return to the Northern Football League playing with the Montmorency Football Club.
Rick Frost is a qualified teacher and has recently established an educational company that promotes leadership, confidence and other youth initiatives and regularly consults with school and clubs.

Finally the Club would like to thank Joe D’Angelo for all of his efforts over the last 2 season as Senior Coach as well as his efforts with the Under 19s which tasted the ultimate success this year. We wish Joe, all the best with his future endeavors.
