A quickly arranged practice match saw the Footballers venture down to the land of the EDFL and play a game against Craigieburn.
The first game was made up of a 50/50 combination of U/18's and senior players . With some experimental positioning moves, saw the unearthing of some very exciting new talent that will ensure the clubs future.
The boys never dropped their heads and fought out a hard, tough contest. Unfortunately, with the bigger bodies and the seasoned Craigieburn lineups, they came home with the chocolates.
Although it is acknowledeged that both sides still have some worthy talent to take the park, the main game was almost worthy of a final. Both sides fought hard with the lead changing several times during the game. In the dying minutes of the game Craigieburn kicked a goal as a result of a free kick, putting them in front by 3 points. This was enough for them to snatch the game out of Broadfords grasp.
Well done Broadford boys - very exciting times to come.
