KRIS MARSH JOINS THE 100 CLUB
This week against Broadford we celebrate the 100th game for Kris Marsh at our great club. Kris joined our club in 2007 and had an immediate impact as a half forward/winger. In mid 2008 he was moved into the backline by then coach Glen Hopkins and he went to another level as a player. Since then he has become one of the most important members of our senior team. His ability to mark opposition kicks with his high leaping and ridiculous courage has seen him finish in the top 2 or 3 in our best and fairest on a number of occasions. Kris has played some great finals over the years and was a member of our last 2 grand final losses. The "big rig" has also become one of the clubs most popular members off the field. Kris is able to relate to just about any person on the planet and his laid back training ethic has been a source of great amusement to his teammates. He has even developed his own catch cry "Maaarrrrsshhyys baaall" which he can be heard shouting as soon as the ball goes in the air . This season he made a great impression on new coach Jamie Elliott when he was late to his first practice match because he was out surfing. Despite his laid back demeanour Marshy is enjoying another great season in the backline and genuinely cares about the club and his footy. The whole club wishes him all the best today and we hope to see him play many more games for our club in the number 12 jumper.
