Wolves Welcome Satterley to the Line Up

The Joondalup Wolves are excited to today announce a new, 3-year community partnership with blue-chip West Australian land developer the Satterley Property Group.

The partnership is aimed at bringing more activity, and in particular, basketball to Allara estate and people living in the northern corridor more broadly, which has experienced a spike in interest off the back of the recent success and popularity of the Joondalup Wolves.

Developing residential areas are not immune to this resurgence in the sport, with considerable demand coming from emerging communities north of the Wolves’ base at the HBF Joondalup Arena. In the past 2 years, the Club has grown in size by more than 50%, with the northern corridor recognised as a significant source of new players and members.

Kinkuna Park at Allara estate features a half-court suitable for coaching clinics and street ball activities, and there are future plans for an indoor recreation centre. The partnership is a way for Satterley and the Wolves to bring basketball to the area now, as well as making better use of these existing and future sports facilities.

Joondalup Wolves chief executive officer Cameron Britt identifies the partnership as further strong endorsement for the club’s continuing growth and commitment to creating meaningful and enduring connections with its community.

We are thrilled to formalise this signifcant partnership with Satterley, an iconic organisation in this State. Teaming up, we will utilise our SBL athletes and other resources to deliver special experiences and activations for the community at Allara Estate”.

After undertaking several highly-successful community engagement collaborations over the past 18 months, this partnership effectively takes the relationship to the next level and Satterley now become a key feature on our commercial partner landscape” Britt said.

Satterley are equally excited by the partnership and the benefits that it will yield for the northern coastal community.

It’s the perfect time for the Joondalup Wolves and Allara Estate to team up,” said Satterley’s community development manager, Amy Blundell.

We are both in the growth phases of our development, and are both wanting to enliven the northern coastal corridor for people that live in the area now and into the future,” she said.

This longer-term 3-year partnership has been brokered through the Allara Grants Program and is part of a commitment to help the community grow and become self-sustainable over time.”

Allara residents and people living in the surrounding community can expect to see a lot more of the Joondalup Wolves, starting with this Friday night (April 13) at Kinkuna Park when we will tip off the partnership and the April school holidays with a bang!”

There’ll be food vans, music, and plenty of opportunities to get on court with Wolves players, as well as some great merchandise and free game tickets up for grabs!”

Catch star SBL Imports Brian SullivanJalen Billups and Kourteney Zadina at Allara Estate, Eglinton this Friday April 13 - all the fun starts from 4pm at Kinkuna Park and everyone is welcome!
